Fresh Air
As I sit here on my cold driveway watching my boys explore and play in the ditch out front, I can't help but be thankful for the hints of spring. I hear birds singing. I smell the fresh crisp air. I feel the warmth of the sun that is moving closer to us every day. I am very thankful for the ability to let our boys explore on our quiet, private road. I am thankful for my hard working husband and that his hard work allows me to be at home caring for our sons. As I wait for our daughter to come home, I pray for her Mama that is carrying her, whom we will hopefully meet soon. I pray that she is safe and loved and knows that we love her even now. I can't wait to see what the next season brings and how it will change all of our hearts, just as I have seen with other adoptive families. For now we wait and hope for what is to come...kind of like the transition from winter to spring. Thank you Lord for this reminder in a season that feels overwhelming, tiring and full of LOTS of tasks. Thank you for endurance and strength that you have given to us.
