Adoption update

3 years ago we were on a journey to adopt a baby girl.

10 months after this photo was taken we found out that I was pregnant with our fourth baby.

There were so many emotions attached to that pregnancy test. This pregnancy meant that our course changed quickly. It meant we had some heart growth to do because change does not come easily. We grieved for a long time.

We can’t imagine our family without this beautiful, spunky and blonde little boy now, but it was a process to move on from our plans to adopt.

 —

A lot of you ask us if we will adopt now that Max is part of our family. The only response I have is that we do not know what the future holds, but then again, we never have. I know that I want to be obedient to what God asks of us, no matter what that means.

Our matching grants have been passed on to other adoptive families who needed it + your generous donations are still sitting in a savings account titled “Adoption Fund”. I have a feeling those donations may go on to families in need too.
