I understand, nothing...

I had a little fun on Instagram today with some classic Michael Scott quotes. I am figuring out how to make a good sourdough bread; here’s what I said on Instagram:

My brain says: “I understand, nothing!”

Is that really the truth, though? Is my thought, reality?

I’m choosing to replace the thought with a new thought: “I can learn new skills.”

Want to know the funny part?
I’m really good at making homemade bread.

The process for making sourdough is slightly different and I haven’t done it before, so I am lacking confidence.

I jumped in and I’m making my first loaf even though I feel uncomfortable.

I’m here to encourage you to try something new; avoiding discomfort isn’t always the best choice. ☺️

Now, my bread doesn’t look awesome, yet, but I did learn a few things in the process which will help my next loaf to come out better. Somehow the dough was too wet + I think I rushed the rising process. This caused the bread to be heavy, but even with errors, it still tasted really good. Here’s to trying again tomorrow!
